Mold may begin growing indoors when mold spores land on surfaces that are wet.  There are many types of mold, and none of them will grow without water or moisture. Molds have the potential to cause health problems. Molds produce allergens (substances that can cause allergic reactions), irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances (mycotoxins).

CHINESE DRYWALL TESTING

Chinese made drywall contained sulfur and two compounds that were not found in samples of drywall manufactured in the US. The EPA also found levels of strontium that were higher than in US drywall. The tainted drywall apparently (in most cases) causes a reaction that produces a foul stench that gets worse with heat and corrodes metal. Click Below to read more....

RADON TESTING

The EPA estimates that about 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the U.S. are radon-related. Exposure to radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.  Radon is found in outdoor air and in the indoor air of buildings of all kinds.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING

Indoor pollution sources that release gases or particles into the air are the primary cause of indoor air quality problems in homes. Inadequate ventilation can increase indoor pollutant levels by not bringing in enough outdoor air to dilute emissions from indoor sources and by not carrying indoor air pollutants out of the home.

LEAD TESTING

Lead can be found in all parts of our environment – the air, the soil, the water, and even inside our homes. If your home was built before 1978, there is a good chance it has lead-based paint. Homes built before 1986 are more likely to have lead pipes, fixtures and solder.
